Chefs Asif and Annie cook with local grown produce, and imported produce, with NO substitutes to their recipes. Spices are sourced in their raw format, toasted, grinded, and mixed for each curry / stew dish prepared. We are dedicated towards supporting local Canadian farmers and suppliers, in turn producing robust, flavourful dishes. We are passionately committed towards maintaining and preserving the Traditional Cultural Foods of the Caribbean.
Caribbean food culture is a reflection of the different settlers, natives, and native grown foods. Influenced by the Spanish – Portuguese settlers and Indian – African, European, and Asian cultures. The Caribbean is a colourful reflection of flavourful dishes that uses robust ground spices, coupled with fresh vegetation and ground provisions, and herbs native to the islands. The different cultures, spices, and native vegetation – herbs yield a very unique, flavourful, and memorable dishes. Wicked Caribs carefully and meticulously prepared dishes are cooked in such a way only using the freshest imported Caribbean vegetable and herbs, carefully prepared spices and spice mixes, and leveraging our old age traditional layered level of cooking. Each dish is made to reflect the culture and ingredients used by our ancestors. Sticking true to our roots and not compromising on ingredients. We are set on sharing our Caribbean Food Culture with all.
